✨ MIDDLE GROUND FAQS

  • Middle Ground exists to create genuine connection for single Christians across Melbourne and beyond. We host events that encourage contemporary Christian faith-based connection, meaningful conversation, and authentic community. We’re not a dating app or matchmaking service - we’re a place for real people to meet in real life.

  • We don’t individually vet or background-check attendees. Our events naturally attract sincere Christian singles because our values and tone are clear. We trust adults to use discernment, just as the Bible encourages, and to approach others with wisdom and respect.

  • You can always say no or decline further contact with anyone. If someone behaves inappropriately or makes you uncomfortable, please tell one of our hosts. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if their behaviour crosses boundaries.

  • Some of our events include alcohol (for example, mixers or dinners), while others don’t. We don’t recommend excessive drinking and expect all attendees to drink responsibly.

  • We take your safety seriously. Middle Ground holds public liability insurance for our in-person events and partners with reputable venues. However, like any social event, we can’t control every individual’s behaviour. Please act with care and good judgment.

  • Sometimes! By attending, you consent to photography or filming that may be used in our marketing or social media.
    We never publish personal details or tag anyone without consent. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let our team know when you arrive.

  • All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the event is sold out and there is a waitlist. However tickets may be transferred - please contact us to arrange this. If we cancel or postpone an event, we’ll contact you with alternative options.

    Middle Ground memberships are non-refundable. Memberships provide access, priority, and support for what we’re building together, rather than guaranteed attendance or outcomes.

    In the case of a duplicate purchase, technical error, or exceptional circumstances, please get in touch and we’ll review your request with care.

  • A relaxed, faith-filled environment where kindness, courage, and connection are the focus. Come ready to meet new people and take small, brave steps outside your comfort zone.

  • Yes - most people do! Our hosts are friendly and will help you connect with others.

  • Our events are for single Christians aged 30-50. If you are a few years either side and would like to come please contact us at hello@middlegroundmelb.com.au

⚖️ EVENT TERMS & CODE OF CONDUCT

By attending a Middle Ground event, you agree to the following:

  1. Respect and Kindness
    Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behaviour is not tolerated. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave without refund if their behaviour is unsafe or disrespectful.

  2. Personal Responsibility
    You attend voluntarily and accept any inherent risks involved in public events.
    Middle Ground does not verify or background-check attendees.

  3. Boundaries and Consent
    You have the right to say no or withdraw from any interaction at any time.
    Always respect the comfort and consent of others.

  4. Alcohol and Conduct
    Where alcohol is available, drink responsibly.
    Drunken or disruptive behaviour will result in removal from the event.

  5. Liability
    Middle Ground maintains public liability insurance, but is not responsible for loss, damage, or injury resulting from another attendee’s actions.
    You attend at your own discretion and risk.

  6. Photography and Media
    By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional use. If you prefer not to appear, please tell us on arrival.

  7. Refund Policy
    Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred.

  8. Cancellations
    If an event is cancelled, we’ll do our best to offer an alternative or credit.

  9. Governing Law
    These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
